Zero Tolerance

WhisperBox has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content. Whispers containing harassment, hate speech, explicit material, threats, or spam will be removed and the sender permanently banned.

Anonymity & Responsibility

This app is designed to be anonymous: there are no accounts, and posting uses only your device's own iCloud sign-in, which we never see. Anonymity is a privilege — it does not permit harm to others. All content you create must comply with these terms and applicable law.

Whispers Fade, Copies May Exist

Whispers leave the feed once heard and are deleted when they fade. We cannot stop a listener from saving a whisper on their own device or recording it, so don't say anything you couldn't bear to have kept.

Carrying Whispers Forward

"Carry it forward" uploads a copy of a whisper you heard so someone else can hear it. The copy keeps the original mood, fade time and sender tag. You are responsible for what you carry as if you had posted it — never carry anything that breaks these terms.

Reporting

Tap the flag icon on any whisper to report it. It is hidden from your feed immediately, and once several people report the same whisper it is hidden for everyone until it has been reviewed. Reported whispers are kept for review, and reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Blocking

You may block any anonymous sender at any time. Whispers carrying their sender tag — including copies carried forward by others — will no longer appear in your app. This is stored locally on your device.

Moderation

The WhisperBox Moderation Team reviews all flagged content within 24 hours and reserves the right to remove any whisper and permanently ban any user without notice.

Not an Emergency Service

WhisperBox is not a crisis or emergency service, and nobody listens to whispers in real time. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line.
