how it works
WhisperBox is an anonymous voice app for strangers. You give a few seconds of yourself to the world and get a few seconds of someone else back.
Record a thought, a feeling, or anything in between.
Between two and ninety seconds, with a live waveform while you talk. Tag how it feels and choose how long it lingers.
Your whisper drifts out to a random stranger.
Send it across the world, or keep it nearby within your own country. No name is attached, only a city-level place so listeners know how far it travelled.
In return, you hear someone else’s whisper.
Listen once. Then send a quiet response, carry it forward to another stranger, or keep it in your vault.
from somewhere distant
Every whisper carries a mood and a rough place. Listen to the whole world, or only to people near you. On the map you can see where travellers have left whispers and tap one to hear it.
whisper radio
Lean back and let strangers play one after another, like a station only you are listening to.
Skip ahead whenever you like. Each voice is someone new, with a name made up for the moment, like “wandering reed”.
If a whisper moves you, release it back into the void so another stranger can hear it too.
Get a quiet notification when your own whisper reaches someone.
assurance
This is a space for honesty, not identity.
fades after
You choose how long a whisper waits to be heard. Once a listener hears it, it leaves the public feed.

WhisperBox is out now on the iPhone. Download it, say something, and wait for a stranger to answer.
